Recording at a specific point

I've searched for this feature once before and couldn't find a way to do it.
Is it possible to set Reason to start recording when the marker reaches a specific point?
For example, I've recorded a bass line and I don't like bars 7-9. Rather than start recording at bar 7 by placing the marker there and hitting record, I want to be able to play along with the track and when bar 7 is reached, record mode is enabled automatically and when bar 9 is reached, recording stops.
I know I've done this before but I think it was in Cubase.

Any thoughts?
Is this going to have to be a feature suggestion?

Yeah. I'd like to know how to do that too.

You can use a dub track but its probably a few more button clicks than a punch in feature would be

Yeah I've heard folks request punch in feature for reason and I can't think of a possible errr...reason. Back in the day recording on mulitrack recorders punch in was a necessity but now why not just record another take or record many takes and just comp it all together? Think it's just a paradigm shift for some. Cheers!
