Post Scripting languages for Reason

What's the best scripting language for use with Reason?

I am looking at Lua and Pure Data.

I want to create step sequencers for the synths and also make a controller to trigger blocks in Reason's recording section.

Was also after a language that could channel audio via ASIO or whatever it's called. If that's possible.

Any recomended tutorials? Experiences?

Experiences? Yes, I do that every day!
Using this: http://www.nektartech.com/PRODUCTS/Panorama-P4-P6

But, to build your own, the answer you seek is "Remote".

Thanks for your reply. The Nektar is a very good looking keyboard and l'm sure it will give a lot of people instant karma, decent price too.

As for Remote, can it make a step sequencer and do all the ASIO stuff l've been dreaming of?

Is there a language which all DAWs can universally understand?

Making a step sequencer would have to be a feature built into the controller itself, however controlling a step sequencer in Reason (thor for example) is possible. Novation did it with their launchkey controller
