Master Mute Button on the SSL

A nice feature would be a master mute button on the ssl mixer that would allow users to mute and un-mute several tracks with the touch of one button. Like on the non virtual mixers that came before the virtual mixers were introduced.

There is the unmute and unsolo everything buttons on the master section of the mixer and there will be groups in version 7.

There is the unmute and the unsolo but the need is just as great to mute several tracks at the touch of a button without comprimising the mixer settings

R7 doesn't have groups, which would solve the issue. R7 DOES have busses, which can be used similar to groups except that you must create an additional channel for busses but you wouldn't have to do so for groups. In most mixers with groups, you can set which features are grouped including faders, mutes, record ready switches, etc.

Hopefully R 7.5 will introduce both fader/mute groups AND sequencer track groups, which IMO are even more desperately needed! :-)

Sorry. I meant groups in the Mackie mixer sense, not mute groups.

I know what you're talking about, but I feel those are mis-named. They don't 'group' anything, any more than a master fader is a group of all the channels. LIke master faders, sub-mix master faders simply control the level of a bus, FWIW. :-)
