ah yes.

kindof felt the mix in might have need either something more uplifting to it, or just to shorten it.

this is great - like the 80s synth type sounds a lot. However, I do agree that it could have been a lot shorter. That would have just given it more punch. Good track.

It sounds so good, I could drive from LA to Bakersfield with just the intro and be happy.

I kindof liked the subtle intro for the mix in, but kept feeling like its boring.

The length is fine; you need the intro to build the groove imo and there's different ways to maintain interest. You could fade in that synth, have some sweeps, modulated effects, drum fills, etc.
