ReBirth for iPhone will be retired on June 1st

On June 1st, we'll be retiring ReBirth for iPhone from the App store, to better focus our mobile music making offering.

If you want ReBirth for iPhone for your collection of Propellerhead apps, you have until June 1st to purchase it. After that, you'll be able to use it as it is, but we won't be supporting it and you won't be able to upload your songs. You also won't be able to download it again if you delete it from your device and your iTunes apps folder.

If you have an iPad, there's of course ReBirth for iPad to fulfill your squelching needs: http://itunes.com/apps/rebirthforipad

It's funny to analyze this logic.

"Better focus our mobile bla bla" doesn't have any effect on current apps. So taking down the app is part of a hidden agenda.

As it's basically going to become less than 'abandon-ware' and some of the features will be disabled, you should put it on sale for 99c or even free for those that are curious. (like me)

yeah it would be cool if it became unsupported and free, rather than disappearing

This sucks, now I have to make sure I keep the file backed up and all that instead of just being able to reinstall it from the store.

Why not just leave it in the store, is it hurting anything?

You should also say something on your iTunes store page notifying people that it's being made obsolete/deleted in about a week.

Since Rebirth is being retired for iPhone, can anyone tell me how to get my songs from my iPhone to my iPad? The App's "share" function doesn't work anymore because it "cannot connect to server". I am using disk mounting software to see the directories in my iPhone and I tried copying over the .rbs documents to my iPad, but it still won't do anything with them. Any ideas how to get my Rebirth iPhone songs onto my iPad now?
