Question New synth by Props ?

Hello Reason users !

With the quite fast schedule of newer versions of Reason since V6, I was wondering if the pace of releases of synths made by the Props is going to accelerate too.

Effectively, in December 2000, Reason V1 was released with Substractor in it.
Then in June 2002, it was V2 with Malström in it. So it took 2 years to release a new synth.
Then in September 2007, it was V4 with Thor in it. So it took 5 years for a new synth !
Then in December 2012, as a RE, PX7 was released. So it took again 5 years for Props to release a new synth.
Do you think we have to wait for 5 years to have a new synth from the Props and what will it be ?

I think you don't need to wait even a sec so to start making music!

Hi Mate !

I can make music and ask a question at the same time ;-)
I've been enjoying Reason's synth to this day. But you know as a user "I want more !"
And it is nice to have some talk with other users ;-)

I do believe it's safe to say we have PLENTY of synths. Now, on the other hand, we only have ONE guitar amp device which hasn't been upgraded since Record, so it would be nicer to get some new guitar amp devices for sure.

I'd like to see a new synth!

Perhaps something similar to Electra-X by Tone2

ElectraX makes me think of Thor, that is it has a lot of different "personnalities" (oscillators, filters, …). But as much as I love Thor I often return to the more "focused" synths such as Subtractor or Malstrom. I don't own PX7 for now (I'm waiting for "birthday of RE" sale or the summer sale !) but I'm quiet happy that it is dedicated to one type of synthesis (that is FM). In order to make the synth panorama of Reason more complete, it would be nice to have an additive synth, for example a clone of K5000s. I read on the forum that an additive synth RE is on its way, so perhaps I don't have to wait for too long !

ElectraX sounds way different than Thor. Thor is capable of technically setting up similar patches, but they come out sounding a tad too digital. Electra X sounds very smooth and plus the sound design interface is far more concise.
