No and the midi overlap feature in reason works similarly to the way analog gear can cause unintended but nuanced "changes" to sequences not found elsewhere. Basically, to build on my pitched snare build response to you just now, experiment with some notes being overlapped and some not - this will create organiz triggering changes during the snare rolls that you might find useful (at times). Particularly for square basses - having say an 1/8th note with a 16th on the end of the 1/8th (overlapping half of the 1/8th note) can create an interesting dynamic swoop, especially when sidechaining. Just one of many examples i have found. reason does nothing for you unlike logic, ableton, etc. but that is where the creative genius of reason lies - it also allows to you to manipulate much more intricately and organically than alot of other DAWs.
