What!!!?????? Hope that's a joke.......

'cause you've got to be kidding me. doru has been generously giving everyone free refills and samples from his own hard work for years. he's a fantastic guy, the kind of guy who calls everyone "my friends" know what i mean? why don't you at least go to his site before making this kind of uncalled for accusation?
if you ask me doru is one of the most generous and nicest guys associated with reason. out of god knows how many great refills and sample packages he's offered, this is only the second one he's asked any $ for. no one needs to be kicked off this site, but if anyone does, with that comment, YOU DO.
i doubt very much that i'll be the only one replying in this way.
try knowing a little something about who you're dealing with before spouting off bullsh*t next time.
j.

There is a growing industry on eBay and other sites -- You steal a bunch of samples from other legit libraries, repackage them and sell them as your own. I'm thinking that these samples came from Yello Tools' Culture or something like it. Doru needs to be kicked off of this site.

Re: Yes, and let's get rid of that blank/fred fellow too :-D

You're entirely justified in being angry at the ripoff artists, anthro94. Each and every one is a pestilence, a sudden foul smell, a loathly thing.

But you can take it as given that Doru Malaia is one of the good guys. White hat, plays calming harmonica to keep the herd quiet at night, glowing golden nimbus behind his head -- the whole nine yards.

here here

I totally agree with you jarasama, doru is definately one of the good guys, the only person i know that replies to an entry in the guest book on his site, with an e-mail titled" my friend".

I think as far as Anthro94 is concerned, an apology is required in Doru's direction, coz that comment is well out of order. As jarasama mentioned, all you had to do was to take a look at his site, and you would of known the accusation was not founded at all.

Sorry if i Ranted a bit, but Doru is the kind of bloke that this scene needs more of, and if we dont stick up for him, then what does that say about us???

Happy writing all.

Re: Impressive list Doru!

Hey, I like Doru but this again does beg the question, "Where does this stuff come from?". I won't buy anything unless I can absolutely verify the source of origin for copyright reasons since I release stuff out on the market for sale.
I mean seriously, think about it. Where does one guy living in Eastern Europe manage to come up with all the gear and the sound libraries that he has?
Just a thought and not meant to start a fight.

Cheers.

Point taken and actually considered before...

you posted this. However, I think if we are going to start down that path then we must consider that every single sound we use in our music is illegal. I would contend that no matter how absolutely verifiable a source might be, copyright issues can still be raised. Some places just aren't worth traveling to.
