studio monitors

what studio monitors work best with reason? i like to produce trance,progressive & breaks so i would like to know which monitors work best while working on this genres

Difficult to answer this question, since it depends on taste (yes, even with studio monitors it's all about taste) and the room you will be using them. In a small room, I would suggest to avoid monitors with 8" or bigger woofer. It's overkill! We also have the money factor. How much can you spend on monitors?

Stay away from Behringer and Tapco monitors. They are cheap, but they also sound cheap. :-)

KRK RP6 are very nice, I think they are better sounding then the RP8, but that's because the RP8 whas to big for my room.

I have the KRK V6 (serie 1) and I love them. They are a little weak in the low range, but the quality, the stereo imaging, it's fantastic!

If you have more to spend, try the Dynaudio BM6A !!
