make suggestions (working on a hard trance track)

Check it out: "thin line" http://www.myspace.com/commontestcommon

I am working on a hard trance track...I would like to spend more time to make this track better. I have problems with monotony and so on...if you can make some suggestions, it would be appreciated.

Use the black keys.
Just Kidding.
One thing, just in general, is when you've got a part that repeats several times, try making, like, the every 4th time just a little different. So (this is just a hypodermic example) in yours where it does the A-C-F part, the 4th time it could go A-(down to)C-G, or something. The idea is so it's like going "Hey, Hey, Hey, YO" instead of just "hey" 8 times.

What you've got is pretty good. 'Overly monotonous' is not how I would describe it.

Sounds nice. Needs better louder High hats maybe?
Also spend some time on transistions. Good transistions make a huge difference in a track.

Was the whole track made with reason?

Agreed: Perhaps some cymbal crashes and rev cymbals in the background will help with the transitions. All in all nice tune...keep going with this one!
