Collaboration between Kibeja and Jase

Hi everyone,

Over the last several weeks Chris and I have been working on a piece together - it began when I composed a piece for oboe and orchestra, Chris offered to record a real oboe to replace the sampled oboe. I jumped at the chance and thus began our first collaboration.

I had recently bought 'Record' and this piece became my way of learning the software - indeed, there wasn't much to learn, the work-flow is very similar to 'Reason'.

At first, when I heard Chris' work, I was scared to death - I had to lift my game. My strings were not up to scratch, so I furiously toiled away to match Chris' quality. There was a period I thought I would never make it - but I managed to find something in the end.

I'm very proud of our first collaboration and I hope you enjoy it. Thank you, Chris.

Best regards,

Jase

Wow, this sent shivers down my spine! Lovely! You guys definitely seem to make a great team. That oboe sounds great, and so do the strings. You should be proud I was wondering what you had been doing for the past couple of weeks, now I know.

Thanks Brent!

It's been an amazing experience - I'm itching for more.

Well done guys.

Ron
Thanks a lot, Ron. Truly appreciate the comments. It's just amazing what we are able to do these days - collaborating on a piece of music from different corners of the earth. Awesome.

Best regards,

Jase

As Voodude2003 says, I knew you guys were up to something after noticing that you hadn't posted here recently. You did it! I hope and trust that this is the first collaboration of more to come.

Jase, you posted "In Love With Each Other" about six weeks ago while it was still just you with the string arrangements. I commented on the beauty of the work and you commented on the beauty of the Miroslav Refills. I then purchased the two Miroslav string refills and never cease to be amazed at the quality. In the past six weeks, you have taken it to another level and Chris/KIBEJA's contribution is outstanding - absolutely touching. And, about your using Record - did you have any "Wow!, that's awesome!" technical moments that you may share with us?

I'm going to take a wild guess that the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra may be performing "In Love With Each Other" in the near future!
