Sustain

I bought a sustain pedal to use with my maudio oxygen v3 controller and I was wondering if it is possible to control the amount of sustain since it's either 0 or 127 on/ off. Would it be possible to assign sustain to one of the knobs or sliders without using the sustain pedal in order to incrementally increase the sustain or does sustain just function in an on or off manner with no increments possible?

Sustain is an On/Off switch taken from the piano where it really affects the Release of all notes and not the actual Sustain as we know it.

What you want is to use a Continuous Controller like an Expression Pedal assigned to the Sustain part of the Amp, and possibly Filter, Envelope.

But I bet that what you really want is exactly what a Sustain Pedal does as it is really clever and pretty well implimented on all Reason synths.
