So how much to buy reason 6 full version & the balance interface?

It seems odd that balance comes with reason essentials, but there is no separate deal for those of us who want to get the full version of reason 6 and the balance interface. Whats the deal? Do you have to buy both packages to get Reason & Balance?

I apologise for the thread but Ill leave it for informational purposes. Read this on the balance page. (Must Try harder

I have Reason/Reason + Record/some other combination of Propellerhead products, do I get an upgrade if I buy Balance?
Yes. If you own Reason, Record or Record + Reason, you get a free upgrade to Reason 6 when you buy Propellerhead Balance with Reason Essentials.

Still doesn't say how much Balance will cost though.

This is what I have been trying to find out on this site too!

It does say balance will cost £499 with Essentials - but no price for existing R&R owners!? Crazy.

It sounds like to get Balance current owners have this bizarro upgrade offer.

--> You already own any version of Reason up to v5 (with or without Record)

--> Pay $499/499EU for Balance/Essentials

--> Get Reason 6 FREE and throw away Essentials

Since the upgrade for Reason 6 would cost $169/149EU you're paying $330/350EU to get Balance. That's pretty expensive for a 2x2 USB interface!

And balance doesn't have any midi inputs from what I can see, which is a pretty bonkers decision given Essentials comes with ID8, NNXT Subtractor and others, and it's raison d'etre is simplicity.

It's a nice idea, but at that price and still needing a midi interface for my piano, I'll stick with my fasttrack.

Wait, can't you use a lead such as ESI MIDIMate II?

Why? Your MIDI controller does not have USB like most (if not all) nowadays to cconnect directly to your computer?
