Album recorded 100% in Reason/Record

Here are nine songs that I recorded, mixed, and mastered strictly within Reason/Record. Have a listen and let me know what you think!

Sounds really professional. Are the guitar amps also Reason Line6 or did you use any outboards?

Respect!

Very impressed Aaron. Similar to Pink Floyd in many ways, but better in some ways than them also. I found your songs to be more approachable, less manufactured than a lot of the Floyd stuff, sort of in that Neil Young direction. Floyd music can be aloof like the British intellectuals that they are, whereas yours stays grounded and nicely vulnerable. I especially like "Pressure Builds", "Here With You", and "Highline". "Highline" has even inspired me to start on a new song about how we billions of little monkeys each fight against oblivion and obscurity every day. It felt like that song should have the line, "Will the stars remember you?". Wonderful album. Great production too.

If you add tons of reverb to the drum tracks, add smooth distortion and delay to the guitars, and add big orchestrated spaces around the vocals, you would be surprised how similar it is. The chords and the chord changes are very Floydish. The rhythms are similar in dozens of places, and the vocal melodies and phrases float over the rhythms in a similar style. Aaron has concentrated more on the songs than the orchestrations, which is what I like about it.

Hmm, I don't hear it. Also there isn't that much reverb on Nick Mason's kit, but maybe I am mistaken

Reverb to imitate the stadium sound of Floyd, which is one of their signature sounds.

What do you think about Aaron's songs (regardless of Floyd comparison)?
