can you record you tube directly from you tube to reason sampler instrument

I used to be able to do this with my old sound card, I am looking to buy a new usb soundcard and am on the hunt for one that can allow me to run the wav output too an asio channel.

I think someone posted on this before. I'm not sure about routing your sound output back into reason - but you can get two pieces of software, the youtube downloader to pull the video to your computer, then another software to extract the audio track from the video.

you can then import that extracted wav into Reason and violate copyright laws to your heart's desire.

Some focusrite AI's like mine (pro24) have loopback channels that allow you to do this, but it's a firewire card. Worth checking to see if they make usb cards that do the same.

You can also do that using a virtual audio interface, such as Soundflower or Jack.

If you have two soundcards you can simply stick an aux cable from the headphone jack of your one card, and into the input of your other card.

Works just as easily

Just be sure to keep your distance so as not to tie yourself up in TRS cables.

Yes like Rogerra is saying, a 3.5mm male to male cable can serve well for this purpose.
