Vocals, Dr. Rex, NN-XT and ReCycle 2.1

Someone please help, I really want to unlock some of the capability and possibilities of importing samples into Reason. I discovered that ReDrum can play back .aif, .wav and all that but with limited tweeking. I want to be able to use the NN-XT and Dr. Rex for my samples but can't get my head around having to spend another $250 for ReCycle. That would make my Reason setup cost more then Logic Studio! Is there a work around, can I do the same stuff in Logic or with Apple's Loop Utility? I really would like to find a work around option for these kind of effects and process if there is one, any suggestions?
