Dr. Rex Instrument loops chord progression

Since we can't record live guitar (audio) into reason, I want to create a chord progression with the Guitar samples provided in DR. REX. If I was using a rythm guitar loop (for example in the key of E) and I wanted to create a chord proggression with that same loop (for example, start in E then go to D and A); how would I go about doing that. Years ago, using ACID, it was simple. Copy and paste, then change the key. I'm killing myself trying to do this with DR. Rex. Any suggestions?
