Feedback on better mix & mastering

o/ all

I'm not satisfied with the "impact" of those two tracks. They lack that polish and power that "real" tracks have. I've heard some amazing productions with reason alone so i'm not blaming the software at all. My skills are obviously lacking

I'm hoping to get some hints and tips about how to increase the level of quality of my productions.

Here are those two tracks, exported from reason, 16bit dithered.

http://www.rnd1.com/reason/runner.wav (new production..with obvious inspiration)
http://www.rnd1.com/reason/illusionrmx.wav (Illusion by Imagination reproduction)

All feedback on how to improve my "sound" will be greatly appreciated

Thx!
N
