Control multiple instruments WITHOUT COMBINATOR

Hello,

how do you quickly control several synths/samplers in Reason without using the combinator? For example if I want to quickly try a guitar and a piano together, I would simply hold shift and left click on both midi tracks(both tracks become selected), then play the midi keyboard and control both devices. This works in cubase, but not in reason(as far as I know).

How do I do it? It is a hassle to use combinator everytime I want to do it, especially when I use a complicated wiring system for something and need to test it together with other synths.

I really hope you can help me!

greetings and thanks

Felix

**EDIT**
Btw. I know this can be done, but it is slow and a hassle : http://audio.tutsplus.com/tutorials/...your-keyboard/
