Struggling to have reasons sound loud and clean!

I always struggle trying to increase volume and have a clear sound..

I produce house music and start with the mclass with DANCE presents or ENERGY presents. I make sure there is no clipping and try to push the input and outputs as far as possible with out any distortion.

Then when im ready to bounce I run protools in rewire mode and use a IZOTOPE plugin to bring up the gain and final mastering.. after all that it does sound better, but not where I think it should be...

would it be better to bounce the original song from reasons at clean level, then take that audio file and drop it into protools and master from there??

any input would help, thanks guys!
