How do you guys convert wav to mp3 with minimal quality loss?

For the longest time I've been exporting my tracks as 44100/16 and then just throwing it in Acid Pro and exporting as 320 mp3. But I've been noticing a significant loss in volume and quality.

My question is, is there anyway for me to convert my Reason wav files to 320 mp3 with very little quality loss (and no volume loss). I've also converted to mac so I don't think I can run Acid Pro anymore.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated,

Cheers.
