Record Internet Verification Problem under Mac OS X
Dear Record users,
It has just come to our knowledge that the latest Mac OS X Security Update (labeled 2010-001) has severe effects on Record:
* Internet Verification will not work.
After applying Security Update 2010-001 Record can no longer communicate with the Propellerhead Servers. Using Record with the Ignition Key still works.
* The Authorizer can not communicate with the Propellerhead Servers either.
This means it is not possible to authorize an Ignition Key from a Mac after applying the Security Update.
We are investigating the problem and are contacting Apple about it, but right now we don't know exactly why this has happened.
If you haven't yet applied Security Update 2010-001 but still plan to do so, please be aware that you will only be able to use Record with the Ignition Key after the update. Make sure that your Ignition Key is authorized with your Record license (and Reason license, if so) before you apply the Security Update.
If you have already applied Security Update 2010-001, but haven't authorized your Ignition Key, you need to do that on another computer. You can download the Authorizer application here:
We're very sorry (and rather upset) that this has happened, and promise to work hard on a solution to the problem. We will get back to you as soon as we know more.
