Piano sounds, upgrades, and the best way to record something?

Hi everyone. I need a bit of personal advice...

My mom's 70th b-day is coming up and I wanted to write her a song adn record it. I have the basic piano track written which I play on an 88key digital piano (this piano sounds great).

I currently have Reason 2.5 but ordered the upgrade to Record w/Reason 4.

My question has to do with how to record the piano...

Can I first use midi to record into Reason to do any quantizing/fixing? And when I play it back, will it use midi to play the actual digital piano? Or will Reason only want to play back sounds from one of the internal racks?

If that does work above, and once I'm done with quantizing/editing, can I then move into Record to record the piano parts?

OR, AS AN ALTERNATIVE...

Does the latest version of Reason come with any phenomenal piano sounds? It would be so much easier if I could just do everything using sounds inside Reason. Or, are there any ReFills, 3rd party piano sounds, etc. that rival dedicated digital pianos?

Thanks so much!!!
