Virtual MIDI cables in R/R
Instead of adding polyphonic CVs, why not just add virtual MIDI jacks on the back of each device (and sequencer tracks as well). This fits perfectly with the 'rack' model, and allows some pretty cool re-patching as well. This should make sense for 99% of folks out there that have ever worked with MIDI cables!
Since the 'MIDI' connections are already there (behind the scenes), this 'feature' could simply be an option to 'show' the MIDI cables on each device. Showing the MIDI on one device will also show it on any device that is 'MIDI'ed' to the first device. Otherwise, all 'MIDI' connections continue to happen in the background as usual.
A MIDI Spider would be a nice addition here as well. :-)
