Question Work life balance and Music Making

I´ve some questions to those of you who are music makers/producers in their freetime beside their full time job which is in a different profession.
How do you keep yourself creative and motivated if the job is very demanding? When do you make music, in the evenings, at the weekend or just on holidays? How do guys keep work life balance? Do you write a song a year?
Sometimes when I´m at work I think it would be great to be a full time music maker. On the other side I have a secure job with a good income and chose it because it has been fun (well, sometimes...). When I´m at home I feel very motivated to create some music, a patch or write a song, but I am rather fatigue if the week has been hard.
Do you have similiar experiences? Are you sometimes thinking of quitting your job and do something musically?
