Smarter Solo behaviour in the SSL
I apologize if this has been brought up before, a quick forum search didn't give any immediate results.
In the absence of proper sub groups in the mixer, I'm using direct outs and audio spiders instead. It actually works pretty well, it's only when I want to solo tracks that it becomes tedious.
Wouldn't it be better if the Solo buttons could work together when Reason detects that the mixer channels are interconnected?
Channel 1 direct out --> Spider
Channel 2 direct out --> Spider
Spider --> Channel 3
Soloing channel 3 should solo channels 1 and 2.
Soloing channel 1 or channel 2 should solo channel 3.
Unsoloing channel 3 should unsolo 1,2
Of course there are more complex cases where a channel is split up and routed to several other "subgroups", or if a "subgroup" mixes the incoming signals with signals coming from its own devices. But those cases could be resolved following The Principle of Least Surprise...
