Acoustic instruments etc

OK, for the past year I'm trying to focus more on the mixing/mastering side of things, since I feel it is one of the most significant barriers between the music in my head, and a finished song. One thing I am struggling with, is how to work with acoustic instruments in this capacity. I am not talking about actual, recorded audio tracks, but rather sampled instruments from FSB et cetera.

Can anyone point me in the right direction with respect to making the FSB instruments sound more "real"? Yes, I know how to use Pulveriser, et cetera, but I'm having trouble tying everything together. Does anyone have any tips or resources that might address this?

Here is the song I am working on, which involves all "real" Combi/NN-XT instruments (i.e. B3, Drums, Bass, Wurli, Guitar).
