Ground Loop interference

Got a Balance plugged into a Samsung laptop and when the laptop is run on AC power it sounds like the aliens are landing. I'm using all balanced cables and have a shielded USB cable connecting the Balance to the laptop. I've ordered a Belkin AV Isolator but don't know if it's going to do the trick and wondered if anyone out there has suffered similar problems and overcame them??

Cheers

Aiden
