How do you control midi in two reason files?

Hi there,

I am using reason to play live by having a midi controller mapped to a bunch of parameters in reason and have all my songs as separate files. So I just open one after the other and mix between them as they are the same tempo.

However

If I'm controlling ones midi, then open up another one, i cant control the midi in that new one until i've closed the old one, even if i click on the new one and make it the focus.

Is there a way to go between the two?

Thank you so much if you can help.
