dont wanna rewire no more

Hi all, I've been looking forward to the day when I dont have to use reason as a slave. But the longer I wait, it seems the other daws are pulling away in some areas. ie: midi editing features like snap to scale, rapid fire midi note manipulation with just the mouse, audio transient manipulation, select any region of audio and instantly have it mapped to a sampler, punch recording and auto take lanes.
I dont how feasible these things are for reason and it may be a personal thing. I would like to see the props get busy on the sequencer and editing features to come into line with other major daws.
I saw reason has climbed the best daw ranks at music radar, so its popular with its users obviously, but it terms of speed of work flow and editing it should be well down.
Still love the program, but I'm getting old and impatient.
cheers
