Question Need help with CPU/Sound card

Hey guys! I own Reason 6 and have been a Reason user since version 2.5. I recently built a PC that has an AMD quad core 3.2 GHz processor, 8 gigs of RAM, IEEE 394 fire wire sound card, and I am running Windows 7 64 bit. However, we have an unofficial copy of Windows 7 running currently. My question is this: In Reason when I'm running 1-2 full mixers (or less) I get 'crackling' noises in playback and recording too. I've changed my CPU limit to none, and performed a few other tweaks inside Reason, even taking out a few combinators, etc. I still often get this crackling sound even when I have 4-5 small instruments running - which leads me to believe it's either my sound card or a CPU issue.

I couldn't see how a 3.2 processor would cause this? When I open my task manager it shows all four cores being depleted sometimes. Do you guys think it's Windows not updating properly?

It's so annoying!

I've updated my sound card driver, so the only thing I have left is maybe it's a Windows issue? Has anyone else experienced this? Did i give enough details of the situation? Any or all help would be greatly appreciated!
