MIDI overflow error in Reason 6.5
I have a bit of an idiosyncratic setup - I have my keyboard hooked up to a midi processing script, which spits out notes to reason.
It has no problem playing them back real time, but 99% of the time when I hit record and start improvising within five seconds the recording stops with the message
"MIDI input about to overflow! Your computer isn't fast enough to handle MIDI input at this high rate."
I would be okay with some overflow, if that's what is the problem (or maybe there's some quirk of the midi signals I'm sending it in - there are indeed often a bunch of notes triggered at the same time) - but the message box stopping recording makes it impossible to use.
I find it weird because
1 - I don't get these problems in Ableton or Garageband
2 - the error doesn't pop up unless I am recording
(I'm currently evaluating the trial version of Reason 6.5, on Mountain Lion)
