How to setup combinator modifier keys?

The Reason Electric Bass tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEtT2...layer_embedded) was the first time I learned about the possibility of using modifier keys, i.e. holding down one key on the midi keyboard to modify the sound of another one. If you don't know what I mean, take a look starting at 1:52 in the tutorial movie linked above.

If I have understood things right you do this by having several NN-XT in a combinator and then let the combinator choose with NN-XT to play, but I can not find any information on how to set this up myself. I can not find the information in the Reason Operation Manual, but that might be because I don't know the proper term for it. (I have Jiggery-Pokery Guitars too and in *that* manual it is called "key switching".)

Can anybody shed some light on this?
