Hi all,
I'm in the process of mastering and want to dither my songs from 24 bit to 16 bit avoiding maximising - I'm implementing 'New York style' parallel compression instead. The pieces were mixed and exported as 24 bit/44.1khz wavs from a different DAW some years back and I don't have access to it anymore. I've got the Ozone RE and was wondering if I can utilise its dithering functionality solely avoiding any limiting. Is there a way of bypassing this: would it be a case of just inserting the RE last in the chain and not pulling down the threshold? Or, is it plausible - and not overkill - to limit as well?

Thanks in advance,
