My latest synth-pop remix: 'Robot Music', Kraftwerk-meets-Yello

I've just done a remix for UK electronic/synth-pop artist, Jonteknik. He's worked with Claudia Brücken (of Propaganda fame), Paul Humphreys (OMD), producer, Pascal Gabriel, and a whole slew of others. Like me, Jon is a massive Kraftwerk fan, and his latest album, Giants Under The Microscope, is a tribute of sorts to the sound of Kraftwerk, OMD and other early synth-pop pioneers.

This single, called Robot Music, is lifted from that album.

Here's my mix:

I did all my work in Reason 6.5 last year. The song was already very Kraftwerk-esque in its original state. My mix (which I purposely kept short & sweet) pushes for more of a percussion-oriented feel. I had the music of Yello and Kraftwerk in mind when I constructed my mix.

Anyway....... I hope y'all dig it.

If you want to hear more of Jonteknik, here's his album on iTunes:
