Do I use the SSL master compressor for my mix before giving to a mastering engineer?

Hi

I really like the sound of my mixes when I have the SSL master compressor turned on! But is it a bad idea to do this if I am then giving my mix to a mastering engineer? Am I then limiting the work he can do with it? I have watched tutorials saying how good the SSL is to glue your track together but they all seem to be mastering within Reason as well. I am new to mixing so I would really appreciate any advice on this.

Cheers
