Guitar Music on Reason

I know Reason 6.5 (which is the version I have) probably isn't the best software for guitar music, but when I'm recording guitar songs into Reason, they sound pretty awful. I am quite a novice but would have thought they would sound better than they do. Wondering maybe if I need a better audio interface, mic and guitar. My audio interface is quite cheap £45-ish, a Behringer Xenyx Q502USB Audio Interface/Mixer,. My mic ia also cheap, a Pro Sound L24AK Dynamic Mic, and my electric guitar is a Michael Kelly electric guitar. Don't know what model it is as I had it's 2nd hand but there's a link to a picture below I found online. Does anyone who records band music as well, say, that it's better to record real drums into songs rather that programmed ones? the guitar sounds tinny I think as well, and not full.
