I vote we should have a "Create Reference Track" feature in Reason for importing commercial songs to mix along side of, which is completely bypassed from all signal flow, dynamics, and fx other than volume, mute, and solo. This way we can set the volume to what we are mixing at and have a completely clean, originally tonal song to reference within Reason.
Right now all we can do is create an audio track and then have to continuously disable all master fx and dynamics to hear the reference song. Major headache. There may well be a work around I am unaware of but this feature would make life and work flow a lot easier (as always) than a work around.
Who's with me?
"Life is a movie, you're a star."
"Don't waste your talents."
"Give music life!"
