Lanes for audio

When editing parts of an audio track into some new using the edit mode is not so useful. For just a crossfade between parts you need to copy the original track. When working on like recorded voice I need to do many edits. In the editor this can not be done. It would be great though if audio would have Lanes like the instrument tracks. This way you would be able to make copies of parts and blend them together nicely that way. Even better it would be if you could add crossfades to the recorded parts. All editors I know have this but Reason doens't, only in edit mode but that's no good for blending 2 or more parts together.

Please have a look how Ableton does these kind of things.
