New Features of 3.0
I know that it may seem like ONLY ONE guy wants certain features...
But there are a lot of ideas out there that are "ground breaking" or "revolutionary" and people are never interested untill they can see what it can do for them...
So people don't get excited about granular synthesis, because they don't know what it can do (can you say sounds from other worlds?)...
What about additive synthesis? Very powerful stuff for getting an exact sonic pallet...
And a real arpeggietor can do more for you than make trance lines... a LOT more...
I see all of the things that CAN be done with these ideas..
People who don't will say they are useless.. although i bet i can find a way that they can apply it to their style.
And the only way to BREAK the mold is to put in things that people are not already USED to...
Give me granualr synthesis done the right way and i'll give you the endless possibilities...
how about TWO source samples, played forward or backward or buffer-skipped at quantized or non quantized timings... alternation of grains between samples... crossfade variable on the fly... grain size varuable in the fly - from single samples grains up to the whole bars long... with "Index" and "Shift" (parts stolen from Malstrom)... etc etc etc...
and 4 modulators that can be set to control any of the prameters of the Grains... rate, etc... envelopes...
What about the ability to store and recall an entire Signal path as an "Instrument" ?
Do you frequently use a subtractor with a comp, two delays, scream4, envelop filter and a reverb (and three matrixes to manage the crazies)???
save the whole set as an instrument... Damn! Cool!
