Remixing

Hi All,

New to the messageboard, so please be gentle. I have tried cover mounted demo versions of Reason and really liked it although the damned disabled save and auto kickout after 15 mins doesn't give you much of a chance to experiment. Anyway, I am thinking about buying it and would like to do a bit of remixing as well as creating tracks from scratch. Is remixing and sampling longer phrases possible with Reason and if so, can someone please give me a quick and rough idea how to go about it. Do I need a separate audio application and if so, is there a freeware or shareware product which will work. Also, I know that HD recording of audio can result in fragmentation problems, but does this apply to Reason tracks without audio?

I hope I've got my terminology right!

Thanks for any and all advice.

Regards

D.
