registering academic copy

Ok,
Could anyone please tell me if there are any "time limit", or "intellectual copyrights" to the academic version of Reason?
What I mean is: If I am to register my academic copy of reason- do I only have a set amount of time to use it, and also- if I create anything with it, am I not allowed to publish it, because Propellerheads somehow owns what I've created with hit?
Also- what proof of academic status is needed to register the academic copy? Will my student ID be enough like for most other companies?
Last question: Can an academic copy be upgraded to a retail license somehow, so as to eventually benefit from any inherent inequities the retail version may have over the academic version?
A thorough reply would be appreciated- as I'm having incredible difficulty getting my questions answered by people that just want to SELL me the program, and don't care if I'll end up wasting my money.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Regards,
Corey
