Rewire Reason Redrum to ProTools 6.4

I have read some posts which give me a couple of options. Wondering which would be best. Running Reason 2.5 as a slave I can create a secondary submixer in Reason & route the 10 channels in Redrum each to it's own channel in the secondary submixer for specific control of each channel.

Or I can skip the Reason mixer & route the 10 channels in Redrum directly to seperate inputs on the Reason Hardware Interface & those channels will go directly into ProTools each via an aux track bussed to an audio track + a midi track for my keyboard.

If I use the second option there are only 16 busses available 1-2, 3-4, etc. Inserting Reason as a multi mono input will give me the use of only 8 Reason Redrum channels & this will take up all the 16 busses. Am I routing the busses wrong or should I use method 1. Thanks.
