suggestions for good synth programming books?

Hey all,

I'm not a beginner, but I am far from being very comfortable with synths in Reason.. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions for any good beginner-intermediate books on synth programming?

I'm not bad with math, but at the same time, I need the book to be well written enough to be clear about what they're talking about. I haven't found any well written or easy (enough) to read articles. I have Kurt Kurasaki's power tools, but that has little on actual synth programming.

I know people will say to jump in and twiddle knobs, or to dissect patches, but having book knowledge to supplement all that is best.

Thanks
