Is Dr Rex worth th cost?

I am looking for some feedback regarding the cost of Dr Rex. I recently purchased Stylus RMX for 275 CAD. Apparantly I can convert Dr Rex files for use in Stylus RMX, however in order to do it, I would first need to create Dr Rex files from raw audio loops.

I looked at the price of Dr Rex and it's listed for 249 USD, to me this seems severley overpriced in comparison to what I have already purchased. I am under the current impression that Dr Rex is not much more than a utility application to create Rex files. As such, I am not really interested in purchasing it at it's current cost.

Understanding that the cost is more than likely not going to change however, I find myself curious as to whether the cost can truly be justified in comparison to many of the other software applications available in today's market.

Can anyone give me some user feedback as to the length they actually use Dr Rex please and whether they feel it is worth owning?

Zoner.
