Reason hardware requirements

I am curious about this, as I will likely pick up an older cheap laptop. So bear with me.

As Reason has progressed from 1.0, 2.0, 2.5 and now 3.0, the memory requirements have quadrupled. The cpu requirements have stayed the same.

So, let's say I have a laptop with 128mb RAM (double the "min" for 1.0-2.5, half the "min" for 3.0). If I use my 3.0, would I get acceptable performance as long as I don't use (much) of the RV-7000, NN-XT or other new 3.0 features? Does the core applications performance stay fairly standard, and the difference really come from some of the advanced sampler/FX?

Or do I need to track down a copy of 2.0? I emailed the Props regarding an older version about a week ago, but no response.

Alternatively, if anyone has an old copy of 1.0 or 2.0 they would like to sell for a reasonable price, let me know.

Thx
