Reason with Cakewalk Sonar

Hello all! This is my first posting in this forum. I have always used Cakewalk 9.0 as my recording software and Fruity Loops as my drum solution. I am a purist as far as rock is concerned. I wanted to make my recordings sound like a live band played it, with a few mistakes or human elements. Obviously, the above combination did not cut it as there was no flexibility as far as laying out drum tracks was concerned. I have just about stumbled onto Reason and Cakewalk Sonar 4.0. and I believe they are a good combination. Can anyone give me any ideas on recording using this combi?? Should I use the sequencer in cakewalk to lay the tracks and create the drum loops in reason or should I use Reason's "Redrum" to create the beat and use the inbuilt sequencer in Reason itself? Are they easy to use? Also, how real can I make drum tracks in REDRUM sound?? Can I emulate a progressive rock or jazz drummer playing??
