Reason 3.0 CD's Getting Ejected on Macbook

I'm kind of confused here. I have a new Macbook with 10.5.7 OSX and I am trying to install Reason 3.0. When I first inserted the disc, my laptop spun it and spat it out. After a couple more tries with the same result I decided to go online and see if there's an update. I see 3.0.5. Download that and put it in my apps folder. I double click on the Reason icon and it asks me to insert the Orkester Soundbank CD. I put it in and is ejected shortly after. I am confused here. These discs have no scratches and although they were originally intended for OS and not OSX, I would assume that OSX can read them too? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

PS - I have tried a music CD and it read that just fine so IDK.
