Blondie - Matt's Top 5
Matthew Katz-Bohen attended the world-renowned LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts (the “Fame” School) in New York City, where he studied Piano, Violin and composition.
A native New Yorker, Matt has toured the world with his original projects Daddy (www.myspace.com/daddy) and GoonSquad (www.myspace.com/goonnyc).
Currently touring with Blondie, he just finished recording a new new album with them which features two of his songs.
He has backed legendary artists such as Ashford and Simpson, Jody Watley, Lady Miss Kier (Dee-Lite), John Cameron Mitchell (“Hedwig”), and Princess Superstar.
He produces, writes, programs, and plays keys and guitar... and he really likes the Thor.

I use this patch with Blondie live for soloing all the time. I add portamento and delay. It really cuts through the band - will give guitarists keyboard envy. Also, I've found this patch works great for getting the synth solo sound from Michael Jackson's "Don't Stop Til You Get Enough", which we cover.

A very nice creamy synthy lead. I use this one, with a phaser added, for the classic solo in "Call Me".
MS Feedback Bass 1 (Reason Factory Sound Bank / Thor Patches / Bass)
Great bass for that 80's hi NRG italo sound.
Pro 5 Poly (Reason Factory Sound Bank / Thor Patches / Poly Synths)
A great polysynth. With a bit of tweaking, you can get a perfect sounding intro to Cyndi Lauper's "All Through the Night".
PW Mod (Wind Controller) (Reason Factory Sound Bank / Thor Patches / Lead Synths)
I used this on the Blondie Track "What I Heard", with the filter 2 frequency turned up to 1.15 kHz. It's the huge synth lead in the intro and choruses.

Best known for creating Wiley’s 2008 smash ‘Wearing My Rolex’, which debuted at number 2 in the singles chart, selling over 300,000 copies. Renditions which followed by the likes of Little Boots and Hot Chip for Jo Whiley’s Live Lounge session on Radio 1 took Bless Beats’ work well beyond the ears of the post-grime loving electro pop massive.
