Callum Roxborough Top 5
Having recorded their first single with producer Jon Mitchell (Kids in Glass Houses, You Me at Six), they began to pick up regular airplay on regional BBC stations in Manchester, Stoke and Hereford and Worcester. With this support, the single 'Yoko' (described by BBC Stoke’s Rob Adcock as “my favourite song”) helped launch the band to a wider audience.
Since then, they have gained Radio One support from Huw Stephens and Vernon Kay, supported the likes of General Fiasco and Twenty Twenty and are working with LAB Records to release the bands mini-album.
The band recently opened Radio One’s Big Weekend, and received an ecstatic reception.
Having relentlessly toured for a year, Pegasus Bridge are set to release ‘Ribena’ - their lead single from the upcoming mini-album entitled ‘While We’re Young’ - on September 27th, followed by the release of the mini-album on 18th October.
Ephermal2 (Reason Factory Soundbank / NN-XT Sampler Patches / Synthpoly)
combines a traditional organ swell with the delicate piano clean sound-I’ve tried to emulate this organ sound on so many keyboards (and failed!)-Most of the organ sounds on the album have this underneath to really explore textural and tonal range. [Used in Like Dogs]
Trance Seq (Reason Factory Soundbank / Thor Patches / Rhythmic)
real old school sound. Messing with the comb filter means I can get such variations of sound. When I’m writing on my own I ALWAYS use this -the possibilities for exploration and editing are endless with this sound!!
Toy Piano (Reason Factory Soundbank / NN-XT Sampler Patches / Piano)
a really unique different sounding piano. I try and combine it with some reverb and use the two band parameter EQ to bring out the mid and high ends. Also found out that using the RPG8 alongside it creates a really unique arpeggio!
B GrandPiano (Reason Factory Soundbank / NN-XT Sampler Patches / Piano)
The “Grand” daddy of them all. This is what I basically use to orchestrate most of the planned synth lines. It’s basic, hardworking and totally indispensable when I’m creating music (it also sounds scarily good). [Used in Skinny]
Retro Funk Lead (Reason Factory Soundbank / Thor Patches / Lead Synth)
When I first heard this preset I thought it was cheesy but then I realized that it cuts through so much, and that’s what makes it a great lead synth. Stand’s on its own-there’s no need for layering when this sound kicks up! [Used in Ribena]
